Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
The CEC is for skilled workers who have Canadian work experience and want to become permanent residents.
There is no education requirement.
At least one year of skilled work experience in Canada on payroll (so not self-employed) within three years of applying, in a maximum of two NOCs and does not have to be continuous nor full time work experience. You’d need to be physically present in Canada for the work experience to count.
Meet or exceed the minimum language requirements -English or French (Canadian Language Benchmark 5 0r 7 as applicable).
Once again to be competitive and have a decent chance at receiving an invitation to apply for PR under the Express Entry program, the candidate typically needs to have education, at least two years of college, or better a bachelor’s or master’s degree, along with a CLB 9 language scores and at least a one year Canadian and preferably a one or more year of foreign work experience.
